If you have to manually install a driver for the device — perhaps the driver is already installed on your system — you can use the Update Driver button in the device’s Properties window. If the device driver is already installed on your system, click the “Browse my computer for driver software” link and choose an installed driver. Follow these steps to configure Windows Update to automatically search for and install a basic driver. On the taskbar, click the Windows icon. In the Search Programs and Files box, type change device installation. Click Change device installation settings.

Latest versions of Winamp suffer an annoying bug (#1239) in ros that won't let you click on it as if the main window were transparent. I've done some tests and the last 'clickable' and 'working' version is 1.90. After 1.90 Winamp crashes but its main window is still clickable until 2.08. Special pack for ros made from 1.90 + 2.08 here. Gabriel_itAureal is known to use MF - multifunction entries in their INF. As we don't support such, one has to convert it back to normal entries before trying out the driver. Caemyr

If a multifunction PCI device conforms completely to the PCI multifunction standard, the PCI bus driver enumerates the individual functions. The PCI bus driver manages the fact that there is more than one function residing at a single device location. To the rest of the system, the individual functions operate like independent devices.

Vendors of a PCI multifunction device on an NT-based platform must do the following:

• Ensure that the device conforms to the PCI multifunction specification.

• Provide a PnP function driver for each function of the device.

  Since the system-supplied bus driver handles the multifunction semantics, the function drivers can be the same drivers that would be used if the functions were packaged as individual devices.

  The INF files can be the same files that would be used if the functions were packaged as a individual devices. The INF files do not need any special multifunction semantics.

For example, the following figure shows the sample device stacks that might be created for a multifunction PCI device with ISDN and modem functions.
